Changing The Guard

London is steeped in history and tradition. And The Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is a daily opportunity for you to witness English pageantry at first hand. Military marching bands in their striking uniforms parade along the Mall. You ca get quite close to take photographs so this is a great event for Instagrammers and keen photographers. You might like to take an apartment close to Buckingham Palace so that you can get up early and “bag” a good spot close to the action. The Changing of the Guard is not occurring during the lockdown but will be back as soon as Covid-19 measures allow.

Mayfair

The Mayfair area is a great place to stay. Being close to Theatreland, in normal times, it offers a host of cultural activities and entertainment for you to enjoy. The Royal Academy has a great programme of works throughout the year and is a lovely place to wander round. There are numerous small art galleries in the area for you to enjoy. Mayfair offers you easy access to the lovely shops of Regent Street and Oxford Street in London’s West End. Mayfair is home to some of London’s most exclusive restaurants and nightclubs – great for people watching. Keep your eye open for celebs – this is the area they often frequent! Sporting London and the Olympic Legacy

If you are bringing your family to London to see some sport then you might like to consider Stratford.
