Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk

The exhibition presents the kimono as a dynamic and constantly evolving icon of fashion, revealing the sartorial, aesthetic and social significance of the garment from the 1660s to the present day, both in Japan and the rest of the world. This is a paid exhibition and booking is essential. On until Sunday 25 October 2020.

Filthy Lucre: Whistler’s Peacock Room Reimagined.

From now until Sunday 29 November, an immersive installation by contemporary artist Darren Waterston presents a detailed and decadent interpretation of James Abbot McNeill Whistler’s famed Peacock Room, a sumptuous 19th century interior.
