The year commences with the spectacular New Year’s Day Parade which travels along the streets of London’s West End.
There are some events not to be missed in January 2020. Particularly the Chinese New Year – 2020 is the Year of the Rat – and it began on 25 January.
Dancers, acrobats, cheerleaders, marching bands, historic vehicles and more assemble in the heart of the capital on this day every year. Enjoy a colourful celebration of contemporary performances and traditional pomp and ceremony. The air will be filled with huge balloons, music and confetti.
With over 8,000 performers representing the London boroughs and countries from around the globe, this fantastic event attracts around 600,000 spectators and is broadcast on TV in the UK and abroad.
